Stephen Curry had to contend with another difficult Christmas Day on the court on Monday. He had a difficult time shooting, going 7 of 21 and making only the poorest 3-of-13 three-pointers. The Golden State Warriors lost to the Denver Nuggets 120-114 on the road despite his best efforts. Notably, with the two-time NBA MVP in the game, the Nuggets defeated the Warriors by a substantial margin of 26 points.

Curry has historically struggled in Christmas Day games, averaging 15.3 points on 31.5 percent shooting and only 23.1 percent of his baskets coming from beyond the arc, according to StatMuse. Unfortunately, Curry encountered difficulties on both the offensive and defensive ends of the field in the game against Denver, continuing this trend.

Conversely, the Denver backcourt had a great game. With an incredible 28 points, Nuggets point guard Jamal Murray led all scorers. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope added 16 points to the team’s victory. Nikola Jokić, the superstar big man for Denver, put on a spectacular display, making all 18 of his free throws and finishing with 26 points, 14 rebounds, and 8 assists. Curry and the Warriors had a difficult day as the Nuggets displayed their skill on the court.

But the Dubs had just finished a sizable winning streak before dropping a pivotal game on Christmas Day against the Denver Nuggets.

Anyway, talking about the players on the Golden State roster, Jonathan Kuminga is someone who has a great ceiling in the NBA if given a proper opportunity.

On top of having a lot of potential, Kuminga is someone who flaunts supreme confidence in his basketball skills, as revealed via NBACentral on Twitter.

“I’ma keep it real with you. Me with the ball, nobody’s guarding me,” Kuminga said.

Now, that’s a huge message sent by the 21-year-old, as he believes that no player in the league can defend him when he has the ball in his hands.

Although Kuminga has not yet lived up to his potential, he has the potential to be a star in the NBA.

Kuminga is averaging 12.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game for the Golden State Warriors even in the 2023–24 NBA season.

But given that Kuminga is currently only playing 21.7 minutes per game, he can easily average in the mid-20s if he receives a significant amount of playing time under Steve Kerr’s tutelage.

Will Kuminga’s admirers witness his rise to fame in the future?
