Florida State 7 Key Star Players has being Ruled Out As Zero Participant In The Orange Bowl…

Two More Florida State Defensive Backs Opt Out Of Orange Bowl Just Days Before The Game - Sports Illustrated Florida State Seminoles News, Analysis and More

For the Seminoles, Saturday’s Orange Bowl matchup between Florida State and Georgia is going to be a farce.

Despite going 13-0 and winning the ACC, Florida State was not awarded a spot in the College Football Playoff, so they were sent to the game. The Noles have gone through a number of opt-outs or players transferring before the Orange Bowl since the CFP rejected them.

We found out on Monday that Tate Rodemaker, the backup quarterback, would not be participating in the game. After Jordan Travis’ season-ending leg injury, Rodemaker assumed the starting quarterback role for the team.

More than 20 players will be absent for FSU’s Orange Bowl due to player withdrawals via the transfer portal and decision not to play in the bowl game. Brock Glenn, their number three quarterback, will be their starter.

The top two wide receivers, top tight end, two running backs, and a number of defense players will be absent for the Noles. They will resemble a shadow of the squad that we witnessed struggle to win every game.

Normally, a game involving the top-ranked team and the bottom-ranked team would be fantastic, but in this instance, it might end up being extremely forgettable.

Florida State Moves To Largest Underdog of Bowl Season - Sports Illustrated Florida State Seminoles News, Analysis and More

On December 30, the No. 6 Georgia Bulldogs (12-1, 8-0 SEC) will play the No. 5 Florida State Seminoles (13-0, 8-0 ACC) in the Orange Bowl. The historic rejection of Florida State by the College Football Playoff Committee has sparked a wave of controversy.

The Vegas betting lines fluctuate as more wagers are placed and kickoff gets closer. The line for FSU vs. UGA is an astounding 19 points, which is the biggest predicted point deficit remaining in bowl season. The next-highest margin, according to DraftKings, is 16 points in favor of Oregon over Liberty.

With players like running back Rodney Hill, quarterback Tate Rodemaker, and linebacker DJ Lundy going through the transfer portal, there’s a good chance the Bulldogs will win because of roster attrition. Prodigious talent, including running back Trey Benson, defensive end Jared Verse, wide receiver Johnny Wilson, and wide receiver Keon Coleman, are slated to enter the 2024 NFL Draft and won’t be available for this game.

The roster has also been beset by injuries, which is why the oddsmakers have given the game such a large margin. Running back Lawrance Toafili and Heisman Trophy Finalist Jordan Travis both sustained season-ending injuries and will not play. On the three-deep rotation, the number of injuries, player opt-outs, and departures is well into the double digits.
