The Honolulu, Hawaii, native, 28, debuted in the major leagues with the Texas Rangers in 2018.

Throughout his six-year career, Kiner-Falefa has played every position except first base.

Kevin Kiermaier, the center fielder who won the Gold Glove, has agreed to a one-year, $10.5 million contract extension to stay in Toronto.

In his debut season with Toronto, Kiermaier, 33, hit.265 in 129 games with eight home runs and 36 RBIs. It was his fourth Gold Glove as well.

During the 2010 amateur draft, Tampa Bay selected Kiermaier in the 31st round. Prior to the Rays declining his $13 million option for 2023, he spent ten years as a player for them. The Blue Jays offered him a $9 million, one-year contract after that.

In 1,043 major league games, Kiermaier is a.249 hitter with 90 home runs, 352 RBIs, and 126 steals.

Toronto finished third in the AL East this season with an 89-73 record, behind only Tampa Bay and Baltimore. It qualified for the playoffs as a wild card and lost the first series to Minnesota.
