Dallas All-star Player Ruled Out Of 2024 Season Due To Unexpected…….

Luka Doncic faces suspension after 16th technical foul | wfaa.com

Tyler Smith, the star guard for the Dallas Cowboys, left the Detroit game early. The following day, it was revealed that Smith had ripped his plantar fasciitis. One might initially assume that Smith would be absent for an extended amount of time. Fortunately, that won’t be the case as he gets to play in the crucial victory over Washington.

It’s time for me to don my “doctor hat” and examine this injury. An thick band of tissue becomes inflamed when plantar fasciitis occurs. It joins the heel bone to the toe and spans the bottom of the foot. Although it sounds like a mouthful, it’s not as bad as it sounds. In addition, a full tear is preferable to a partial tear in most circumstances.

Smith not only tore this tissue, but he tore it completely. How then is he prepared to suit up so quickly? Professional athletes in general and NFL players in particular have accelerated recovery times. This injury can take months to heal, but with the right exercise, diet, and recovery, it might heal faster.

Still, it does feel unlikely that Smith will play this week for the Cowboys. The one thing this does is keep the opposing team on their heels. If Smith cannot log full practices this week, he will likely rest so that he is ready for the following week in the NFC Wild Card Round.

Should Smith be unable to play, T.J. Bass, a rookie guard/tackle, will take over. This season, bass has been used to fill in for starters who are injured during a game or are unable to start. Bass left the game on Saturday and went on to play for Smith.

Since Smith is an above average pass blocker in his second season, the Cowboys passing game will be more negatively impacted in this instance. Bass may be able to demonstrate his abilities with this chance and possibly earn a larger role on the team coming into the 2024 campaign.
