In football, “completeness” is an overrated concept. “Complete” victories have the same weight as incomplete ones. Teams that are incomplete, flawed, or anything else can still win a lot of games and even titles.
However, the amount of games you can play that are considered complete and how often you can do it are a fairly good indicator of a team’s direction. It seems like a good indicator of the kind of team these young Packers can be that they were able to put together one of their best full-team performances in a crucial game against a divisional opponent.
The secret to completeness, or even to a team with gaps that is still winning games, is to do it time and time again. The Packers must take that action next. While being thorough is important, putting on a series of strong performances is preferable. Hopefully, they can keep improving as they get closer to a pivotal Week 18 matchup.
