The Florida Gators hosted Gaffney (SC) three-star offensive tackle Shedrick Sarratt Jr. on campus for the first time last week. He entered his midweek visit not knowing a ton about the Gators, and after having the staff take him around, he was impressed with some of the things he was able to see.
“I loved the campus and everything about it really to be honest. I like how the freshmen all have their own apartments, and I liked how they take the academic part seriously. They have a tutor for every class, and they have a whole building there for academics and making sure everyone is taking care of that.”

Florida’s 12th spring practice session was heavily attended by targets in the 2025 class, including five-star Jaime Ffrench, the No. 3-ranked linebacker in Tavion Wallace, FSU quarterback commit Tramell Jones Jr., Orlando wide receiver Vernell Brown III, and many more.
Though it wasn’t just members of the 2025 class who arrived in Gainesville for a mid-week look at the Gators in practice: a considerable number of prospects in the 2026 class were in attendance, including 6-foot-4, 235-pound EDGE Braeden Jones.

Top247 WR Vernell Brown III ready to finish planning official visit schedule
For a third time this spring Orlando (Fla.) Jones four-star wide receiver Vernell Brown III visited the University of Florida. On two of those trips, he was able to watch the team on the practice field. With his last two stops giving him a chance to see the Gators on the field, he’s seen some strides the team has made by getting more practice under their belt this spring.
“I think they are moving at a faster pace than they were,” Brown told Swamp247. “They are nearing the end of spring football, and getting closer to the spring game, so things are moving past and they are picking things up more. It’s more of a finished product that they are polishing up on things as far as spring ball. There is more work to do, but what they have worked on this spring, you can tell it’s moving faster.”
Gators firmly in mix to host Top247 LB Tavion Wallace for official visit
A native of Jesup, Georgia, 6-foot-1, 210-pound linebacker Tavion Wallace grew up as a fan of the Florida Gators, and he now finds himself in a desirable position: heavily recruited by the program he cheered for prior to his blossoming football career.
With four official visits already scheduled, Wallace is looking to make a decision as to his fifth visit, and it’s become increasingly likely the Gators will receive an official visit from the out-of-state talent.
