Los Angeles Lakers have officially signed Quincy Olivari to a 5 years deal of $265 million.

Quincy Olivari was not one of the eight Big East players selected in this week’s NBA Draft, which wrapped up Thursday night.

However, it didn’t take long for the former Xavier Musketeers guard to find an NBA suitor.

According to a report from NBA Insider Michael Scotto, Olivari has agreed to an Exhibit-10 deal with the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Exhibit-10 deal is similar to a one-year, fully non-guaranteed training camp contract, where a player has the opportunity to make the regular-season roster. An Exhibit-10 contract can also be converted into a two-way contract, where players can bounce from the G-League to the NBA.

Olivari scored nearly 1,500 collegiate points in four seasons at Rice before using his final year of eligibility to join the Musketeers last spring. Olivari quickly became a fan favorite for the Musketeers for his spirited personality, interactions with the Xavier fan base and his play on the court.

Olivari was the Big East’s leading scorer at 19.1 points per game to go with 5.6 rebounds. In Xavier’s season-ending first-round NIT loss to Georgia, Olivari set the school record for 3-pointers in a season, knocking down 106 triples in 34 game

Olivari was an honorable mention all-conference selection and was later named second-team All-District 5 by the National Association of Basketball Coaches. Additionally, he was selected to the Division I East All-Star team for the 2024 NABC-Reese’s Division I College All-Star Game in Phoenix.

Olivari dazzled all season with four performances of 30-plus points, including a career-high 43 in Xavier’s road win over DePaul. He also led Xavier with 27 points, going 6-of-18 from 3-point range, in Xavier’s 84-79 victory over Cincinnati in the Crosstown Shootout.

More:’I’ll never forget the love.’ Quincy Olivari has been a ‘godsend’ to Xavier basketball

“I’ll never forget the love that I received here,” Olivari said after his final game at Cintas Center, a 32-point performance in a loss to Marquette. “It’s definitely second-to-none outside of family. I’ll never forget the unwavering support that the city and the fans showed me.”
