With the European Gravel Championships not on his calendar, Mathieu van der Poel had some quality time to spend with his partner Roxanne Bertels.
The recently crowned World Champion in Glasgow took to the skies in a hot air balloon as seen in pictures posted to Bertels’ official Instagram account.
Van der Poel’s road racing season looks to have come to an end with the Dutchman now enjoying a rest period ahead of the busy Cyclocross winter that is to come for the reigning Cyclocross World Championships winner.
