Alabama football quarterback Jalen Milroe does not mind his recent perceived snub from Heisman Trophy candidacy.

In the SEC Championship Game on Saturday, Alabama football quarterback Jalen Milroe and his Crimson Tide defeated the top-seeded Georgia Bulldogs, earning perhaps the most impressive victory of the college football season. Despite not having his most accurate passing game, both Milroe and the Alabama offense outperformed most against the Georgia defense, earning a contentious trip to the College Football Playoffs the following month.

When the annual Heisman Trophy finalists were revealed earlier this week, many were shocked to see Jalen Milroe’s name missing from the list given his excellent season-long play. On the other hand, Milroe seems indifferent to the apparent slight.

Milroe responded, “Not at all, I don’t mind that,” as reported by The Next Round on X, the website that was formerly known as Twitter. “Winning a national championship means more to me than anything else. Anything that benefits the team and on which we can all succeed is more meaningful to me than individual recognition.

Given that they have already passed their most difficult test of the season in Georgia, Alabama football has a great chance to achieve Milroe’s dream and win a National Championship.

Up next for the Crimson Tide is the Rose Bowl Game, which will take place against Michigan football on New York’s Day in Southern California.

While Michigan certainly has a strong defensive unit in its own right, it’s usually not the wisest decision to bet against Alabama in big-game situations.
