Jordan Love Speaks To Media Ahead Of Week 4 Matchup Vs Vikings

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love will start this weekend against the Minnesota Vikings after several weeks of will-he-won’t-he debates. Love sprained his MCL in the Packers’ regular-season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles in Brazil.

He missed all of Week 2’s practices, though, head coach Matt LaFleur stated that Love didn’t need to practice to be game-ready. Over the last two weeks, Love has been a limited participant in the Packers’ practices.

Limited is the keyword here. It’s a term that the coaching staff has repeated over and over again since Love’s injury. Any question about Love’s status or how he performed in practice has been immediately met with “He looked limited” or a variation of that phrase.

With Love out, the Packers shocked the NFL world by going 2-0 under backup quarterback Malik Willis, who had only been on the roster for about a month following his trade from the Tennessee Titans — the team he just beat last week. With Love under center, Green Bay should only ascend further up the NFL power rankings.

But first, Brian Flores. The Vikings defensive coordinator runs the most unique scheme in the league, as it puts a lot of pressure on quarterbacks and offensive lines to diagnose potential blitzers post-snap by presenting a crowded line of scrimmage pre-snap. Love, who probably won’t have full athletic ability available for Sunday’s game, will need to lean on his brain and eyes to get him out of dangerous situations.

The Vikings have posted a 3-0 record this season and are coming off back-to-back games against the Houston Texans and San Francisco 49ers, two coaching staffs that player similar styles of offenses and defenses as the Packers. Good luck, Jordan. Green Bay is going to need you.
