4- star Player Blown Off Season Few Moments After Being Fit To Go…

NRL Casualty Ward: Turbo fit and ready for Vegas : r/nrl

Tom Trbojevic, the star of Manly, has said that he is completely healthy and prepared for Round 1 in Las Vegas.

Following an early termination of another NRL campaign due to a torn pectoral in Origin II, the 27-year-old played just 11 games in the previous season.

“A pec is about a three month injury so I’ve had plenty of time for that to recover and I’m in a really good mental space now and training really hard,” Trbojevic told the press on Friday.

“I was pretty much ready to go going into preseason, so these past five or six weeks have been fantastic.

“I’m in perfect shape. I’m good to go because we’ve made contact and everything has been cleared.”

The 2021 Dally M Medal winner, who is getting ready to play in the 2024 NRL Telstra Premiership against the Rabbitohs in Las Vegas, said, “It’s hard not to be” excited at training with his teammates.

“Vegas is a crazy part of the world and the opportunity to play footy there doesn’t come very often so I’m looking forward to getting over there and hopefully showing Americans what we can do,” he stated.

Ryan Matterson, a forward for the Eels, will miss the following month of practise due to a quad strain.

The 29-year-old is anticipated to return to full training following the Christmas break, the club announced on November 7.

David Fifita, a forward for the Titans, will have surgery in the interim due to a pectoral muscle injury.

The 23-year-old back-rower suffered a partial tear during preseason training, the Titans confirmed in a statement.

After finishing his rehabilitation in the upcoming weeks, the Maroons representative hopes to make a comeback for the 2024 season.

After suffering a leg injury during his last Sharks training session, Bulldogs recruit Connor Tracey will miss six weeks of training with his new teammates.

After sustaining the injury prior to the completion of his transfer to another team, Tracey would not begin running until mid-January, according to Canterbury General Manager of Football Phil Gould’s social media posts.

“Unfortunately, on Monday, November 27, during Sharks practice, Connor hurt himself. Not perfect. However, we’ll correct him completely, and he ought to be prepared for trial in February,” Gould stated. “He can play anywhere in the backline.”

Tyrell Sloan, a fullback for the Dragons, is not participating in preseason training due to an ankle injury and a broken thumb.

After breaking his thumb during the Koori Knockout in October, Sloan sustained a syndesmosis injury that prevented him from returning to training until mid-December.

In an extensive interview with NRL.com, Flanagan discussed his plans for the Dragons. “We’ve had a major, major hiccup with him suffering a syndesmosis [injury] in the [Koori] Knockout, which is unfortunate, and then he broke his thumb so everything I had planned for him in early December went out the window, but we’ll get there,” Flanagan said.Karl Oloapu, a teenage Bulldogs playmaker, is currently debating whether to have surgery for a neck injury that has put his immediate playing future in jeopardy.

Oloapu made his NRL debut for Canterbury last season but there is uncertainty about when the 18-year-old will play his next game after being told he requires surgery for a bulging disc.

English international Kai Pearce-Paul is set for surgery on a toe injury he has been managing for more than 12 months before moving to Newcastle.

Knights officials confirmed that after reviews by their medical and performance team it was decided that surgery was the best course of action for the 22-year-old forward.

Pearce-Paul, who has joined the Knights from Wigan, was due to commence official training and club commitments on November 23 with an eye to being available for selection in the early rounds of the 2024 season.

At Manly, experienced prop Matt Lodge is progressing well in his recovery from a knee injury suffered in Round 23 against the Roosters.

“Matt has been working really diligently reconditioning his knee in preparing to come back,” said Sea Eagles coach Anthony Seibold.

“We are looking forward to seeing him back on the field somewhere between rounds four and eight.”

Eels support As a load-management measure, Wiremu Greig has been limited to light training due to a stress reaction in his injured foot from the previous season.

Along with captain Clint Gutherson (knee), Junior Paulo (toe), Daejarn Asi (finger), and Makahesi Makatoa (pectoral), Greig plans to return to full training in the new year.

Storm player Ryan Papenhuyzen will be returning to the United States in December to continue his recovery from an ankle injury under the guidance of reconditioning expert Bill Knowles.

Papenhuyzen worked with Knowles in Philadelphia in January of last year while recovering from a kneecap fracture he sustained against Canberra late in the 2022 season.
