Alabama Coach Agrees Terms To Depart…

Alabama football coach Nick Saban tests positive for coronavirus

In anticipation of their game against the Michigan Wolverines, the Alabama Crimson Tide are getting ready. But they also have to deal with the chaos of the transfer portal because of the way the college football schedule is organized. Despite some talent loss, the Crimson Tide received a significant boost through the portal today. LT Overton, a former defensive lineman for Texas A&M, declared his commitment to Alabama.

Alabama Lands DL LT Overton From The Transfer Portal

In the class of 2022, Overton was ranked sixth overall. He totaled 31 tackles in his rookie season, including 3 tackles for loss and a sack. He felt it was time for a change after the Aggies program underwent a number of changes and his performance declined the previous season. In an ESPN statement, he says this.

“I feel like it was a great learning process. I developed well at A&M. Coach [Terry] Price, the coaching staff that was there when I was there, they all did well. It was a learning process, especially when [Price] died. I felt like the whole curve changed. It was a new defensive scheme and style of play that I had to process.”

Nick Saban gets a huge piece for his defensive line which always seems to be one of the best in the nation.

2024 Outlook

As they head into 2024, the Crimson Tide must be content with their current position. Jalen Milroe, the quarterback, is returning to guide the offense. One of the greatest college football coaches in the world, Nick Saban, will lead another elite recruiting class in 2024. The Crimson Tide have proven they can compete with anyone, but the SEC gets harder and a game against the Georgia Bulldogs early in the season will be a litmus test.

Will Alabama be the champion in 2023? Saban is due for a run because he has never gone three years without winning a championship.
