Raptors Key Player Reportedly Being Unstable Set out of season…

Almost there: A Toronto Raptors three-quarter season report card - Raptors HQ

In their most recent game, the Toronto Raptors defeated the Charlotte Hornets, but only after trailing the entire time against a team beset by injuries. It won’t get any easier when the two-time MVP Nikola Jokic and the defending champion Denver Nuggets visit town.

With the Raptors currently struggling to get some consistent production from their starting lineup, Denver is a well-oiled machine with a role player who can exploit any flaw a team has to offer. Even with some minor injuries, the Nuggets remain one of the best teams in the league.

Will the Raptors continue their unusual success against Western Conference contenders like the Timberwolves and Mavericks? Will the Nuggets be able to pull out a road win against a Raptors team that is playing with a razor-thin margin for error?

Christian Koloko Injury Status for tonight’s Raptors vs. Nuggets game

Koloko remains the only player on the Raptors’ injury report, as he is still trying to work his way back froma respiratory illness that has sidelined him all year long. While he has progressed to on-court work, his status remains extremely vague.

Aaron Gordon Injury Status for tonight’s Raptors vs. Nuggets game

Gordon is listed as probable in this game despite a foot problem that has landed him on the injury report multiple times. Gordon’s ability to score in the paint alongside Jokic will test just how effective Jakob Poeltl and the rest of the frontcourt will be on the interior.

Basketball fans now have a reason to watch the Nuggets thanks to Jokic and Murray. Enjoy a night out with one of the league’s most talented teams; they don’t come to Toronto very often. Although Toronto hasn’t played at that level in a while, perhaps the Raptors will return to the level Denver is currently playing basketball at some point.

In terms of matchups, OG Anunoby has generally been a pretty good defender against Jokic, at least to the extent that anyone can stop the former MVP. Toronto is going to throw multiple defenders and matchups at Jokic but expect Anunoby to spend most of his night on the big Serbian.

On Monday night, Gary Trent Jr. put up his best performance of the year with 22 points off the bench. Trent needs to produce like that more frequently for Toronto to support the offense and give the second unit some breathing room.
