Head Coach Gives In For Final Date Conclusion…

Although the 2024 SEC football schedule won’t be revealed for a few more weeks, the Kentucky Wildcats have already had one game confirmed—and it’s a big one.

Kentucky Wildcats vs Georgia Bulldogs Football 2024 date reportedly set - A Sea Of Blue

On September 14, which is Week 3, Kentucky will host the Georgia Bulldogs, per Dawgs 247. This will follow Georgia’s opening two games against Tennessee Tech (Week 2) and the Clemson Tigers (Week 1).

Given that Kentucky recently signed the former Georgia backup quarterback, this game will be known unofficially as the Brock Vandagriff Bowl.

The Wildcats and Dawgs have traditionally met in October or November. The two SEC East teams will play at an earlier time of the season this year. Furthermore, according to Georgia’s official website, this is only their second September game ever—the other one took place on September 19, 1942.

This can probably be attributed to divisions being eliminated, which implies that going forward, previous scheduling habits may be largely eliminated.

Additionally, according to FBS Schedules, Kentucky has confirmed the dates of its nonconference games: Week 1 against Southern Miss (August 31st), Week 4 against Ohio (September 21st), Week 11 against Murray State (November 16th), and Week 13 against the Louisville Cardinals (November 30th).
