Georgia Bulldogs four-star wide receiver set to enter transfer portal…..
The Georgia Bulldogs will reportedly watch another player enter the transfer portal.
Per reports, Zeed Haynes has entered the portal following his freshman season in Athens.
Haynes was originally a four-star recruit out of North Penn High School in Fort Washington, PA. Per the 247Sports Composite ranking, Haynes was the No. 2 prospect out of Pennsylvania in the 2023 class, and the No. 27 wide receiver in the country.
The receiver originally committed to Rutgers before decommitting and switching to Penn State. However, Haynes would soon decommit from Penn State and sign on with the Georgia Bulldogs. The receiver only saw action in 4 games as a freshman and caught 1 pass for 20 yards.
Change is coming at the receiver position in Athens
This offseason, Haynes is the third Georgia wide receiver to access the portal. So far, Jackson Meeks and Mekhi Mews have also entered their names into the portal.Given Haynes’ Pennsylvania roots and his previous Penn State commitment, it wouldn’t be shocking to see the gifted receiver return to the north.
With three receivers in the portal and Ladd McConkey a popular name in mock drafts, the Bulldogs could have several new faces at the receiver position in 2024.
For the first time since 2021, the Georgia Bulldogs were not selected for the College Football Playoffs this season. Many players are jumping in the portal early because the Bulldogs aren’t vying for a National Championship.

Sedrick Van Pran, a Georgia center, accepts the Senior Bowl invitation.
After opting to delay his entry into the NFL draft a year ago, Sedrick Van Pran has accepted an invite to the 2024 Reese’s Senior Bowl. While the Georgia center has yet to publicly announce his intentions to enter the NFL draft, his acceptance of the Senior Bowl invite is a clear indication that he is prepared to make the jump to the NFL.
Van Pran decided to return to Georgia for a third season as the starting center for the Bulldogs after the 2022 campaign. For the third straight season, the New Orleans, Louisiana, native, who was selected as a preseason AP First Team All-American, led an offensive line for Georgia that is a finalist for the Joe Moore Award. As an individual, Van Pran lived up to high expectations set before the season began. He had a fantastic senior year, winning the Jacob’s Blocking Trophy, which is given to the best offensive lineman in the SEC each year, and being named a finalist for the Rimington Award, which is given to the best center in the country. He was also unanimously chosen for the All-SEC First Team earlier this week.
In addition to being a productive player on the field, Van Pran has consistently earned praise for his leadership in the Georgia locker room. Prior to the SEC Championship Game on Dec. 3, Georgia Head Coach Kirby Smart raved about the leadership that Van Pran provided during his time at Georgia.
“Yes, he was an amazing leader,” Smart replied. “We anticipated that his decision to return would have an effect on our team beyond just blocks and snaps. He would play a significant role in motivating men to excel and accomplish their objectives. He is among the most dynamic and driven leaders I have ever encountered. He is just so selfless and caring. We will be showcasing videos that demonstrate his remarkable practice habits from just this week, including how much work he puts in, how far he goes, and how important it is to him. Among the guys who doesn’t think about himself is him. He is a very exceptional leader who pushes everyone, which is difficult to find.”
Although Van Pran’s acceptance of the Senior Bowl invitation indicates that he will likely enter the 2024 NFL draft, he has not yet made it known that he will play in Georgia’s Orange Bowl matchup against Florida State. On December 30 at 4:00 PM ET, the Bulldogs and Seminoles will play each other in Miami.
