Better or worse? Giants' wide receivers - Big Blue View

To strengthen their receiving group, the New York Giants added Parris Campbell, a former standout wide receiver for the Ohio State Buckeyes, during the offseason. However, the Giants decided to bench him for last week’s crucial game against the Green Bay Packers, which Campbell acknowledges was unexpected.

Parris Campbell acknowledged that it was painful and that he “definitely was shocked” by the team’s decision to keep him off the field on Sunday during a press conference this week.

Campbell admitted, “Yeah, I was definitely shocked,” as reported by Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News. “Shoot, I was more upset than anything else. I was upset because I knew how much effort I put into it every single week. And it was undoubtedly upsetting and painful for me to be idle for the first time in my career. Indeed, a wide range of emotions are present.

Campbell has not had the production that the team had hoped from him this season, catching just 20 passes for 104 yards in the first 12 games of the season.

When the Giants play the New Orleans Saints this week, it will be interesting to see if Campbell is back in the starting lineup.
