All-Star Player Suffers Brutal Injury in Week 15…

Ja'Marr Chase injury update: Bengals WR ruled out after suffering shoulder injury vs. Vikings | Sporting News United Kingdom

Since Joe Burrow’s devastating injury, wide receivers JaMarr Chase and Tee Higgins have carried the Cincinnati Bengals, making them one of the season’s best stories. In order to keep Cincinnati in the running for the playoffs, backup quarterback Jake Browning has been able to keep the offense clicking.

JaMarr Chase Suffers Injury Against the Minnesota Vikings

On Sunday night, NFL Insider Mike Garafolo revealed that notable Cincinnati wide receiver

Minnesota.“I’m told it’s a separated shoulder. Separated shoulder, ac joint sprain, you hear different terms for it,” Garafolo said. “He’ll get the full battery of tests. They’ll know more tomorrow. The hope is that he won’t miss any time. We’ll see on that one.”

When Chase hit the ground hard on his shoulder during the fourth quarter of the game against Minnesota, he sustained the injury. He made an effort to rejoin the match, but he was quickly removed from the field and led to the locker room. Shortly after, he was officially ejected and emerged from the locker room sporting a hoodie with a sling concealed beneath it.

Head Coach Zac Taylor was asked about Chase after the game regarding his status.

“I’m not sure about Ja’Marr,”

Chase wasn’t available to speak to reporters after the game and was seen in the locker room without a brace on his arm.

Week 16 Status

The extent of Chase’s injury and the amount of time he will need to miss are unknown. He might be able to get by with a brace and painkillers, but this is undoubtedly not a minor injury. In Tee Higgins’ and Tyler Boyd’s absence, Browning would concentrate more on getting the ball to them, as the latter produced some huge plays in the final moments against the Vikings.

Another option for Cincinnati would be to push the running game more after Joe Mixon and Chase Brown have each established their worth in recent weeks.  Mixon ran for two touchdowns against the Vikings and has been an instrumental short yardage option for Cincinnati.

Cincinnati looks to close out the season against three elite teams in Pittsburgh, Kansas City and Cleveland.  Cincinnati currently sits at 8-6 and if the season ended today, they would be the second wild card and the 6th seed in the AFC.

The game against the Pittsburgh Steelers is scheduled for this Sunday. The Steelers play excellent defense, but the offense has been struggling recently due to the team’s inability to address quarterbacking concerns. The offense has struggled to score points, and they have also had drama at the wide receiver positions.

Expect Chase to try to suit up against Pittsburgh, but Cincinnati has not yet received word on how serious his injury is.
