Florida State Re-Signs $800 Million Longtime Pledge 4-Star Who Officially Returns…

Trey Benson: A look at FSU football running back

FSU adds another top-tier player, this time in the form of longtime commit Kam Davis.

Following their 13-0 record, the Florida State Seminoles created a lot of excitement in 2023. During his time at FSU, head coach Mike Norvell has transformed the program from a 5-7 team lacking a distinct identity to a conference champion.

At last, the wait is over. Despite the program’s rocky 0-4 start, four-star running back Kam Davis, who has been committed to FSU since 2021, has not wavered from his pledge. The seasoned graduate of the 2024 class has signed his Letter of Intent throughout.

Davis has been a frequent visitor to Florida State’s campus throughout his nearly three-year pledge; never wavering, he continues to recruit with Tribe24 teammate Luke Kromenhoek, who also signed on Wednesday.

During his final Official Visit in December prior to signing day, Davis stated, “I just want to keep building a relationship with the coaches and the players and let them know that, since I’ve always been loyal, I’m still down and I’m ready to sign.” “It had already been official, but just putting it on paperwork and being able to get here in January is something that’s going to be one of the biggest accomplishments going into the next chapter.”

The 5-foot-10, 200-pound back early enrollee signed at his high school and will join his teammates in January. He is listed as the No. 3 running back nationally, No. 12 in Georgia, and the No. 69 player nationally, according to 247Sports.

Despite being an explosive runner, Davis played quarterback in high school. He will be joining the running back room that Trey Benson (NFL), Rodney Hill (transfer portal), and CJ Campbell (transfer portal) have left empty. According to MaxPreps.com, he finished his career with 3,157 yards on the ground and 35 touchdowns while adding 5,575 yards passing and 40 more points.

The Albany, GA native held offers from LSU, Auburn, Alabama, UF, and Louisville, among others.
