4-Star player battling All-Star Player made everything more ‘Intricate’ Which Led To…

How Draymond Green punching Jordan Poole made everything more 'complicated'

For the first time since his summer trade, Jordan Poole will take the court at the Chase Center to play the Golden State Warriors. On Friday night, the Wizards and Warriors are scheduled to play. “‘Hate the way it ended for Jordan’: Poole, Warriors reflect on Golden State tenure and its end,” was written by Anthony Slater of The Athletic.

While Slater’s piece features opinions from a number of team veterans regarding Poole’s time with the Dubs, it primarily concentrates on Draymond Green’s altercation with Poole, which eventually resulted in Poole’s trade.

Regarding the punishment and fallout after Green punching Poole, Curry says that those who aren’t privy to inner organizational conversations don’t really know what’s going on. Green’s punishment was only a week away from the team and an undisclosed fine but no suspension as many suspected in October 2022. Green was also allowed to participate in the Warrior’s Ring Ceremony and play in the subsequent opening night game against the Lakers.

Curry stated in the article that “you can always talk about what could have been punishment-wise unless you were in this building.” However, it was much more complicated unless you were here, as we had these daily conversations about everything we tried to keep inside the house and then let out. Needless to say, we will be closely monitored for any developments. We made every effort in an extremely difficult circumstance. That will be what happens between them both, no matter what.

Kevon Looney, a veteran big that’s pivitol to three of the Warrior’s championship wins, echoed Curry’s sentiments about the Green-Poole altercation.

There’s only so much you can do in that kind of situation, Looney said. “Especially with all the media attention our team receives, everything that’s happening, and the video going viral. I think we did the best we could with it. Draymond and JP were professional, you know. During the season, they had no more blow-ups. Despite their uncomfortable feelings, they didn’t let it stop them from playing well on the court. They continued to play with intensity. They continued to play together.
