Aaron Nola agrees to $172 million deal
Aaron Nola has agreed to a seven-year, $172 million contract with the Phillies, The Inquirer confirmed on Sunday. According to a source, Nola turned down more money from other deals to stay in Philadelphia. The contract is pending a physical.

Phillies sign three players to one-year deals
Three of those players signed one-year contracts with the Phillies because they had a deadline to offer 2024 contracts to players who qualify for salary arbitration.
The team announced Friday night that right-hander Dylan Covey, backup catcher Garrett Stubbs, and reserve outfielder Jake Cave had all agreed to terms to return for the following season. In the majors, Stubbs and Covey will receive $850,000, while Cave signed for $1 million. Additionally, they tendered contracts.
