Lions Two Prolific Players Ruled Out Of Season Due To A Permanent Health State Issues…

The Detroit Lions are near the top playoff seeds in the NFC going into a crucial game against the Dallas Cowboys.

This season, the team’s health has been crucial, especially for the offensive line. The offense has performed at a very high level when the Lions’ offensive line is healthy.

Running backs David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs most recently teamed up for 135 yards on the ground behind a strong line against Minnesota. The Vikings defense was formidable, but the offensive line held its own.

Gibbs was a focal point for the Lions’ offense in Week 16, and got the bulk of the third-quarter snaps. Montgomery would return to the game in the fourth quarter, with offensive coordinator Ben Johnson attempting to balance the reps in the backfield.

Along with center Frank Ragnow, three offensive linemen were listed on the Lions’ injury report: tackles Taylor Decker and Penei Sewell.

Decker and tight end Brock Wright were not present at Wednesday’s practice. Jerry Jacobs, on the other hand, actively participated.

The Packers Should Win their Last Two Games

One thing stays the same despite all of these possibilities. The final two games for the Green Bay Packers must be victories. Both of these games are highly winnable. The Vikings have not even selected a starting quarterback yet, and they are having trouble with their quarterback situation. Although this team continues to play hard and has matured more each week, the Packers have a superior quarterback and should win. Since they began playing competitive football, the Bears’ defense has improved each week. But the Bears have to travel to Lambeau in late December and are on a nine-game losing streak against the Packers. For Green Bay, this is a winning formula. The only thing left for the Packers to do is win that game.

The Defense Must Step it Up

It’s undeniable that the Packers’ defensive performance this season has been lacking. They have good pass rushers and young talent. It is perplexing to see how much this defensive team struggles when looking at their roster on paper. To help the Packers win, the defense doesn’t need to be the best; it just needs to be effective. Perhaps the defensive plan is to blame, or perhaps some players’ attitudes are to blame. Fans of the Packers, regardless of their stances, can agree that if the team is to make the playoffs, it must perform much better. It is unacceptable to let one of the worst football offenses score thirty points. They support Love and the offense, but they don’t have to be the 85 Bears. With any luck, the Packers can continue to dominate the run game and keep this defense off the field.
