Lions at AT&T Stadium: Fish Predicts Playoff Preview PODCAST…

Arlington – Do you want playoff ramifications? Have a “vibe” for the playoffs? Would you like to change the script that was somewhat similar last week in Miami?

You’ve come to the right place, Dallas Cowboys. House.

The 11-4 and postseason-bound team will take on the 10-5, five-point favorite Cowboys on Saturday night at AT&T Stadium. Here’s the reason I’m purchasing that: This scenario is the opposite of what happened last week.

Everything that Dallas performed admirably in a 22–20 loss at Miami can be improved upon here. A few brief remarks about my Fish Prediction and why this game ought to be an attack-first one…

* Detroit’s Offense: The Lions have scored thirty points or more in three of their past four games. David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs will be licking their chops as they take on a Dallas defense that has given up a total of 62 carries for 335 yards and two touchdowns in the last two weeks (at the Bills and the Dolphins), with a 5.4 yards-per-carry line.

Oh, and the quarterback for Detroit, Jared Goff, is lighting up the short-term chart with a 6:0 TD-to-INT ratio in the last two weeks.

Oh, and wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown is on a long-term hot streak. In 13 of his previous 14 games, he has either scored a touchdown or accumulated 100 yards.

*Offense of the Cowboys: How about a track meet? Alright. Come race with us at AT&T!

Dallas has won all seven here this year and has won here 15 straight times. What’s the magic? At this point, all that matters is that it “is.”

QB Dak Prescott was knocked down 16 times and sacked four times last week by the Dolphins. Hopefully the return of Tyron Smith (back) fixes that.

Or maybe a Lions defensive weakness helps, as it ranks just 27th in pressure rate while allowing the NFL’s fifth-most yards per pass attempt (7.6).

Enter CeeDee Lamb, on a streak of his own – but more important, with a fantastic body of work. Lamb comes in here ranking third among NFL wide receivers in targets (151), first in catches (109), and second in receiving yards (1,424).

When you factor in his extra 12 carries for 101 rushing yards, two things become clear: (1) Anyone who claims he isn’t elite should not own a television; and (2) It is an offense in football history to go two full quarters without attempting to stop him, as happened in Miami.

Jake Ferguson might also be involved because tight ends often cause problems for Detroit, and Ferguson currently averages eight targets per game.

The Fish Estimates the Total Score?

I’m picking Cowboys 33, Lions 26, with Dallas building on its performance in the Miami loss to turn it into a surprising victory at home. I go over all of this in our Fish Podcast and Fish Report!
