Packers’ Prolific Player Reveals Audacious Statement To Jordan Love Critics…

Green Bay Packers' Aaron Jones Reveals Bold Statement To Jordan Love Critics - Week 18

The outstanding performances of Aaron Jones and Jordan Love have allowed the Green Bay Packers’ offense to be operating at peak efficiency. With the playoffs at stake over the last few weeks, both players have elevated their play to a new level. The Packers, facing a win-or-lose situation in Week 18 against the Chicago Bears, will require another outstanding performance from their dynamic offensive tandem.

The media was all over Love early in the season, demanding that the Packers let go of their inexperienced quarterback. The critics were obviously mistaken.

Love has shown that he is not just Green Bay’s quarterback of the future, but also a future superstar. In just one season, he has advanced significantly. The Packers must be optimistic about their future.

Aaron Jones Doesn’t Hold Back On Green Bay Packers QB Jordan Love’s Critics

Following the Packers’ lopsided victory over the Minnesota Vikings in Week 17 on Sunday Night Football, Jones did not hesitate to send a strong message to anyone who harbored hatred for Love.

In the last test, Love and Jones must defeat the fiercest rivals of the Packers. It would be devastating to such an incredible comeback this season to lose to the Bears in the season finale.

On paper, there’s no denying that the Packers are the superior team. They ought to have a playoff berth after Week 18 if they perform to their full capacity. But this is the same team that lost to the Detroit Lions in a similar circumstance the previous season.

This week, the Packers should be very aggressive. Love and Jones will be used frequently, so it will be up to them to perform when their team most needs them.

Packers Makes ‘Big Change’ in 2024….

The Green Bay Packers face a win-and-in showdown with the Chicago Bears to close out the regular season, but still have plenty of holes to fill on the roster for 2024.

While Jordan Love has cemented his status as the Packers’ franchise quarterback of the future, and young wide receivers Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, and Romeo Doubs form a potentially prolific trio to develop along side Love, Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst still has plenty of work to do.

In CBS Sports’ latest mock draft, the Packers add a major piece for the offense and to help facilitate Love taking the next step towards becoming one of the league’s top quarterbacks. Josh Edwards projects the Packers to select Georgia offensive tackle Amarius Mims with the No. 12 overall pick in April’s 2024 NFL Draft.

Over the past year, Jordan Love has replaced Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay, according to Edwards. “The next significant change is Amarius Mims in place of David Bakhtiari.”

The 6-foot-7, 340-pound Mims recently filed to enter the NFL Draft following an outstanding career on the offensive line for the Bulldogs, where he was regarded as one of the best run-blockers in the SEC, if not all of college football.

Selected as Bakhtiari’s replacement, if the Packers decide against using their first-round pick on defense to address an unreliable secondary, may be the most wise use of draft capital this spring.

Amarius Mims Scouting Report

Mims will likely be one of the first offensive tackles off the board, and could serve as an immediate upgrade along the Packers’ offensive line.

ESPN NFL Draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr. lists Mims as the No. 5 offensive tackle in the upcoming class.

According to Kiper, “Mims is the ideal right tackle prospect if you could draw one up.” Who can give a shock when a run is blocked and is quick on his feet. He displayed his potential against Georgia Tech with an outstanding performance. Even though he has only appeared in eight career starts, I am comfortable including him in the Round 1 debate.

Pro Football Focus notes that in 297 offensive plays in 2023, Mims gave up no sacks and only two quarterback pressures.

In addition to helping the Packers’ offense become even more explosive in the vertical passing game, Love’s development may benefit greatly from that level of passing game consistency.

David Bakhtiari Facing Another Surgery

Bakhtiari’s 2023 season came to an end when the Packers placed him on injured reserve on Sept. 28, but his time in Green Bay could also be nearing his conclusion.

Bakhtiari told reporters, “[It was] a clean out and addressing what we’re going to do moving forward,” disclosing that he had just had knee surgery.

Bakhtiari only played 25 pass-protection snaps before getting hurt, but he didn’t give up a single quarterback hurry.

In addition, Bakhtiari disclosed that he will undergo another surgery during the offseason.

“Treating the lateral femur is the objective,” stated Bakhtiari. “A lot of fluid has been affecting me.”

It makes sense that the Packers would give priority to offensive tackle in the draft given Bakhtiari’s extensive history of injuries and the fact that he had to undergo surgery for the fifth time this offseason.
