He’s been playing at an elite level in the last month and notched two signature wins in the last two weeks, vaulting him toward the top of the MVP conversation. After a few months of working out the kinks, Todd Monken’s offense is fully realized now, and there’s no telling how far the Ravens can go. And it’s all thanks to Jackson, the most frustrating player to attempt to stop, and the most thrilling quarterback in the NFL.

Even within the welcoming walls of AT&T Stadium, where Prescott had flourished for the most of 2023, Detroit did not make things easy for him. Before hitting his preferred target, Prescott had to sidestep a pass rush that was closing in on him for his 92-yard touchdown pass to CeeDee Lamb. Still, Prescott persisted, and his nine-play, 75-yard touchdown drive was a classic example of the quarterback moving the Cowboys down the field while showcasing his arm at different depths and then putting a dime on Brandin Cooks for a touchdown. Prescott is having an amazing year, save for his terrible day in Orchard Park. He was a major factor in the Cowboys’ victory once more.

In a match between two formidable offensive teams, both quarterbacks were expected to perform spectacularly. Although Tagovailoa scored early, the Dolphins were never able to capitalize on the ease with which Miami has scored so frequently in 2023 before halftime. As the pressure mounted, Tagovailoa was unable to keep up and hesitated before trying to jam a football through a needle, which led to a Roquan Smith interception that came before a touchdown for the Ravens. And as his desperation grew, Tagovailoa put too much faith in his arm and tried to find Tyreek Hill in the middle of a sea of Ravens defenders, which led to yet another turnover. These Dolphins haven’t played well, so I’m concerned. at finding other avenues to success when they meet a defense capable of taking away their best plays, a harsh reality that also applies to Tagovailoa. Those who sense some fraudulence in Miami probably felt vindicated when watching Baltimore blow the Dolphins out Sunday. Maybe this wake-up call came at the right time.

In the NFL, success doesn’t always require beauty or grandeur, and Allen’s performance in Week 17 is aptly summed up by this. The Bills never really established an offensive rhythm, and his pass catchers missed a few on-target passes, but when it did work—such as when he hit Dalton Kincaid for a 51-yard gain—it was impressive. Allen added two more touchdowns on the ground, and his only major mishap was an interception that was thrown during an overly eager attempt. Allen’s 2023 season is primarily characterized by the Bills’ inconsistent wins, but he is still in a better place than he was at the beginning of the season.
