Raiders sign $1.8 Trillion nine-time Pro Bowl QB….

NFL Pro Bowl: Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr stars to give AFC early lead | NFL News | Sky Sports

Due to starting positions shared by Jimmy Garoppolo, Aidan O’Connell, and Brian Hoyer, the quarterbacks for the Las Vegas Raiders have had a difficult season. This offseason, the team’s top priorities are to find a new head coach and general manager, but adding a quarterback is equally crucial.

The Raiders may try to address the position through the draft, but since they’ll probably need to trade up to get one of the best quarterbacks, they may try to find a temporary fix in free agency. Russell Wilson, the quarterback for the Denver Broncos, will probably be cut after the season.

The Raiders would benefit from Wilson’s performance, even though he hasn’t played as well as he once did since moving to Denver. This season, Wilson has thrown 26 touchdowns to just eight interceptions. The Raiders are one of the favorites to sign the nine-time Pro Bowler this offseason, per Bovada.

A trade for Wilson is highly unlikely as he still has five years left on his contract. He’s most likely to get released outright, which would allow teams to sign him at a much lower price.

Aidan O’Connell Is Not Happy With The Season

Aidan O’Connell, a rookie selected in the fourth round, was thrust into a starting role this season and has had every chance to earn a shot at the starting position the following year. But at best, his play has been mediocre. In his ten games this season, he has thrown 10 touchdowns to just seven interceptions. He has nine starts and a 4-5 record. Although O’Connell has a strong arm, his limited mobility has been a major problem.

He hopes that this season could have gone better because the game against the Broncos in Week 18 could be his final one as the starter.

There have been both positive and negative aspects to it, O’Connell stated in his media availability on January 3. “I believe my main disappointment is that we didn’t win more games. I believe that not being able to win some of the games that I believe we could have won will ultimately be what hurts the most.

We’ve participated in every game, so it’s been upsetting not to be able to win some of them, even when it comes down to the final drive. That’s the kind of scar tissue that causes pain. We’ve obviously had some successful victories, but honestly, I think my biggest concern right now is that we haven’t taken advantage of late drives and other similar opportunities.
