Gators show Top247 QB Antwann Hill his fit in their offense during spring visit

Of the names on the Florida Gators quarterback board in the 2025 cycle, Warner Robins (GA) Houston County four-star Antwann Hill has been a target of the coaching staff for the longest time. The Gators extended an offer back in 2022 after he threw in front of the coaching staff during their Friday Night Lights camp that year. He’s continued to make his way to campus since then, and was back in town once again on Thursday.

This latest trip allowed him a chance to meet with the staff once again, but also see the team go through their schedule during a spring practice.

Denton (Texas) Ryan high school class of 2025 offensive lineman Marcus Garcia is ready to trim his list of 30-plus offers to a select few. The 6-5, 270-pounder from the class of 2025 is down to eight programs and those are the ones he’ll focus his attention on moving forward.

Texas A&M, Michigan, Arkansas, Penn State, Nebraska, Missouri, Florida and Ole Miss all remain in contention as of today.

Regarding his recruitment, Garcia has already locked in five official visits. He’ll be at Nebraska on Apr. 26, Arkansas on May 31, Texas A&M on June 6, Texas Tech on June 14, and Penn State on June 21. We’ll see if any others are added in the future.

Athletic Background: Garcia also competes in track and field (shot put, discus). He won the AAU Junior Olympics discus championship (175-1) and the USATF National Junior Olympic Championship discus title (171-2.75) in the Summer of 2023. He threw a 183-2.75 discus rep at the AAU Region 18 qualifier. He also produced several shot put throws between 46-0 and nearly 49-0 during AAU and USATF summer competition according to MileSplit. As a sophomore in the Spring 2023, Garcia finished fourth at the Texas 5A regionals in the discus with a 166-2. He posted a freshman season-best 124-5 discus throw in the Spring of 2022.
