Baltimore Ravens Resign $780 Million Former Star-Player  Off From Cowboys…

The Baltimore Ravens and blown leads: A systemic concern or noise?

The’re continuing our series of X-factors for Dallas Cowboys opponents this year. Today, we examine the Baltimore Ravens. Since their inception in the mid-1990s, the Ravens have been a model of consistency, winning two Super Bowls with some of the decorated players in the 2000s era of the NFL. However, in recent years, Baltimore hasn’t lived up to expectations. Last season, the Ravens secured the top seed in the AFC and a first-round bye but were done in at home by the eventual champion Kansas City Chiefs.

The Ravens are perhaps the only team that rivals the Cowboys’ postseason pressure to perform in the playoffs, with much of the critique falling on their quarterback Lamar Jackson. Jackson has a big contract and a well-rounded roster. For the most part, the Super Bowl has eluded the two-time MVP. Looking further below the surface, the Baltimore Ravens have some under-the-radar threats to give the Cowboys trouble.

Isaiah Likely is a player fans will want to familiarize themselves with. Although he’s a backup behind All-Pro Mark Andrews, Likely is starting to make a name for himself within the Ravens offense. Inserted into the starting lineup following Andrews’ ankle injury last season in week 11, Likely developed an instant connection with Lamar Jackson and totaled 21 receptions for 322 yards and five touchdowns in the last six games of the season.

The converted wide receiver from Coastal Carolina has excellent body control and balance for his size and, despite his timed speed of a 4.83 forty-yard dash, he can separate. He’s a mismatch nightmare who arguably has a higher athletic profile than his tight-end counterpart, Andrews. In a very small sample size, Likely was sixth among tight ends in target separation at 2.28 yards of separation per target and second-most with 13.7 yards per reception.

Zay Flowers may be on the verge of a tremendous breakout season. The former Boston College Eagle steps in as the Ravens’ top wideout, and with the departure of Odell Beckham and his large contract no longer with the team, Flowers has nothing holding him back from increased volume for the Ravens. Rashod Bateman has been disappointing thus far for Baltimore, and Nelson Agholor is a complementary piece, leaving a heavy load on Flowers’ shoulders.

As a receiver, Flowers is very smooth and has a lot of polish to his route running that looks more like a seasoned veteran versus a player entering his sophomore season. Though he is undersized at 5’9”, 182 lbs., Flowers is physical at the point of the catch and has the speed to stretch the field vertically and has the speed to get past defensive backs on crossing patterns. 77 receptions for 858 yards were only the beginning, and Flowers could be a nightmare from the slot if the Cowboys aren’t careful.

A clean sweep for the Ravens offense. Granted, the Ravens offense has yet to be optimal early under offensive coordinator Todd Monken’s direction, but give it time. The threat of Lamar Jackson’s mobility should open lanes for the running backs. Derrick Henry landed with Baltimore in the offseason. Henry is still a good runner at this stage in his career, but he’s starting to take on more injuries and is in decline. Behind him is an exciting tandem of Keaton Mitchell, who is an explosive runner who suffered a season-ending injury last season, and Rasheen Ali, who was considered a steal by some as a fifth-round pick.

If healthy, Mitchell is a terrific weapon in the open field with his vision and extra gear to take the distance. Mitchell had an astounding 8.4 yards a carry on 47 attempts. Additionally, Ali should thrive in the Ravens system if given the chance to see the field next to Jackson. His instincts for finding the holes stand out, and he will excel in zone-blocking schemes. Henry might be the tank to try and wear the Cowboys down before Mitchell and Ali speed off to races late in games.

Derrick Henry Is Being Praised For His Kind Gesture…

New Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry has arrived to the team after a historically dominant run with the Tennessee Titans, signing a two-year deal in hopes of finally winning a Super Bowl and bolstering an already strong Hall of Fame case.

Since coming into the NFL, Henry has been one of the most consistent and reliable superstars the league has seen, and he recently received praise for another one of his heartwarming gestures off the field.

A recent post on X from analyst Dov Kleiman showed some photos of Henry at the recent carnival he threw in his hometown of Yulee, Florida, where he gifted about 200 bicycles to kids as well as backpacks full of school supplies, and, of course, signed plenty of autographs as well.

Henry is a legend in Yulee and is still the national record holder for rushing yards by a high school football player with 12,144 yards to go along with 153 touchdowns.

It’s great to see a player of his stature leading by example and having a strong impact in the community.
