HEARTBREAKING: NASCAR Drivers Pay Touching Tributes To Dirt Racing Icon After Tragic Death. 

Tragedy just hit the NASCAR fraternity. Legendary Dirt Race Car Driver Scott Bloomquist has passed away in a plane crash. His aircraft crashed near his home in Mooresburg, Tennessee.

 

Bloomquist’s lustrous career enclosed some coveted titles, including the 2004 World of Outlaws Late Model Series and the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Championship in 2009, 2010, and 2016. He was 60 at the time of the crash.

 

Scoot Bloomquist was inducted into the National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame in 2002. After a decorated career in Dirt Racing, he announced his retirement from full-time racing in 2020 owing to several health issues he had to face with age.

 

But despite his retirement, Scott continued to appear at several events. He remained an important influence in the racing community and continued to provide mentorship to upcoming generations of drivers.

 

According to recent reports, Bloomquist was flying the 1938 Piper Cub J3C-65 that he owned at the time of the crash. Mooresburg police revealed that they have successfully identified Scott Bloomquist’s remains inside the cockpit. The Federal Aviation Administration will also review the crash and assess the circumstances leading to this unfortunate accident.

 

Fans expressed their emotions about the demise of this legendary racer on social media. Some fans are understandably shocked, others simply cannot hold their emotions back. An emotional dirt racing fan wrote, “Sick to my stomach hearing this. Rest in peace.“ Scott was loved by fans across the aisle.

 

Hardly anyone familiar with Dirt Car Racing said a nasty word about the ace racer. An emotional fan had this to say on the news of his sudden demise, “Dammit. We were just talking about him. RIP.” These comments reflect just the sort of home name Scott Bloomquist was amongst racing fans.
