Jimmy Page, 80, is expecting a baby with his 29 year old girlfriend

The poet, 30, had been quietly dating the Led Zeppelin rocker, 76, for several months before their union was revealed to the world in January 2015.

Though she now understands why their 46-year age gap caused headlines, she admitted the attention made her ‘uncomfortable’.

She told Tatler magazine: ‘Now I understand it. I guess some people will say I’ve made an unusual choice.

‘At the time it felt very uncomfortable. I felt like my life was going to be over. I had such a sense of shame about the whole thing.’

She insisted her relationship with Jimmy is ‘amazing’ and that the age gap isn’t an issue.

‘It’s funny because on paper there is a massive difference. But when he’s standing in front of me, it’s not something I feel. It’s not something that impedes us,’ she said.

Scarlett explained that they met through mutual friends and she was well aware of the rocker’s ‘dark reputation’.

After bumping into each other several times, they struck up a romance and Scarlett soon moved into his west London mansion.

The couple lead a quiet life at home in London as they rarely go out to parties and don’t like entertaining at their abode.

Jimmy, who split from his second wife Jimena Gómez-Paratcha in 2008, was first seen with Scarlett at the restaurant chain Nando’s.

Sources claimed at the time that the guitarist was loving dating a ‘normal’ girl.

An insider told The Sun: ‘Jimmy is leading a very conventional life by the looks of things, not very rock’n’roll. His new girlfriend seems a very normal kind of girl.’

Jimmy has five children and his eldest daughter – also called Scarlet – is 18 years older than his girlfriend.

Led Zeppelin legend Jimmy Page and his much younger girlfriend Scarlett Sabet are still going strong!

On Monday, Page, 73, and Sabet, 27, were seen taking a neighborhood stroll in Kensington.

Sabet is in the middle of promoting her book “Zoreh.” She tweeted on the same day, “So exciting to see these copies of Zoreh arrive in their news homes in Atlanta, Ireland, France and Colarado

Though most of her recent Instagram posts have been about her book, Sabet did show some love to Page on Valentine’s Day. She wrote, “My love. Everyday. The most.”
