Indianapolis Colts suspend TWO players for ‘conduct detrimental to the team’ in a blow to Shane Steichen and their bid to reach the NFL playoffs

The Indianapolis Colts have announced they have suspended two players for the rest of the regular season for ‘conduct detrimental to the team’.

Cornerback Tony Brown and receiver Isaiah McKenzie were both healthy inactives for the Colts’ 30-13 win over the Steelers on Saturday.

Now it’s been announced they will miss their final th4erthree games of the regular season, too.

The team did not elaborate on the ‘detrimental conduct’ they are believed to have engaged in but sources told ESPN the issue required ‘severe punishment’.

The pair are usually consigned to back-up roles for the Colts but have been important members of the roster this season.

Brown has been important on special teams and played 71 per cent of their snaps this season.

He’s managed to put up one interception, one forced fumble and 10 tackles.
