Horror As Two Children’s Body Is Discovered On The Beach Near A Popular Holiday Park
The body of a woman was found by emergency services on a beach in Wales.
The sad discovery was made yesterday (Sunday) just before 8am in Pensarn, near Abergele, Conwy, near Whiteshouse Leisure Park .
Police said the death of the woman, aged 58, is not being treated as suspicious and the coroner has been informed.
Her family are being supported by specially trained officers. A spokesman for North Wales Police said: “We can confirm that we received a report the discovery of a woman’s body shortly before 8am yesterday morning, Sunday, October 13 on the beach near Pensarn.
“The 58-year-old woman’s next of kin have been contacted and are being supported by officers.
“The coroner has been informed and the death is not being treated as suspicious.”
It’s reported authorities have urged anyone who might have information that could help investigators understand the hours leading up the death to come forward.
The shingle beach of Pensarn is situated in front of the town of Abergele. It runs for around five miles from from Kinmel Bay to Llanddulas.
According to British Beaches, the water off Pensarn has a large tidal range and the beach is “gently sloping from the low tide mark to the high tide pebbled area”.
The beach is also close to the Wales Coast Path and cyclists can access the North Wales Cycle Network which runs from Pensarn to Rhos-on-Sea.
